Blending Nature and History in Tianjin

Tianjin Holiday Inn at Nankai District, designed by Honglei Liu, sets a new standard for international brand hotels in the area. Upholding the brand concept of leisure, comfort, green health, and business travel, this hotel injects natural landscape, industrial temperament, and humanistic aesthetics to create a happy and warm business holiday experience.

The lobby of Tianjin Holiday Inn is a stunning blend of natural beauty and port life. The walls of the Lobby Lounge are adorned with pierced aluminum plates, creating a visual experience that seamlessly combines the forest's natural image with the vibrant atmosphere of the port. Inspired by the rich industrial culture of the port, the furniture and furnishings exude a sense of history and character. Modular furniture defines the boundaries of space while creating a relaxing atmosphere.

The dining hall of the hotel pays homage to the history of Tianjin with its elegant and solemn cultural tones. Guests are transported back in time, immersing themselves in the city's rich heritage.

The realization of this design is a testament to the use of advanced technology. The ceiling board is coated with aluminum plates, and the pierced holes in the plates are arranged using parameter-based design. The illumination from lights inside the holes creates a mysterious forest landscape. Large chandeliers further enhance the ambiance, resembling the gentle ripples of the calm sea.

The hotel spans an impressive 16,394 square meters and features a range of facilities, including a lobby, lounge, all-day dining area, meeting rooms, swimming pool, gym, and guest rooms.

Located in Tianjin, the project commenced in April 2015 and was completed in February 2018. Throughout the design process, BLVD International, led by Creative Director Honglei Liu, collaborated with designers Yuxin Yang and Xiaomei Liang to bring this vision to life.

By integrating history and nature, industry and culture, Tianjin Holiday Inn offers guests a comfortable and elegant space to recall the past and face the future with a calm and refined attitude. It embodies the essence of Holiday Inn's philosophy of leisure, comfort, and green health, providing an unforgettable travel experience.

The design of Tianjin Holiday Inn has received widespread acclaim and recognition. In 2019, it was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award honors designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity, resourcefulness, and technical skill, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
